Mouth Sounds
An exploration of the material qualities, specifically the aural qualities, of 16mm film, given the medium’s lack of audio. All sound present within the video comes from the film running through a Steenbeck flatbed editor, as this was being recorded. Shot on Kodak VISION3 250D Color Negative Film.

The film used in this video was soaked in soda ash and crumpled after it was developed as a way to create visual texture on the surface of the film to accompany the aural texture made by running the film through the Steenbeck.
